VOICE GEM #1137 Named Finalist for Lumen Prize Awards
The "Voice of Hiroshima Survivor Trees" VOICE GEM has been selected as a finalist for two Lumen Prize awards, a prestigious recognition in the art and technology world. This Voice Gem is unique, with its color and form generated not from a human voice but from the voice of a special tree. The sounds captured by Philip Clemo using a specialized microphone reveal the internal movements of this tree, recorded exactly 75 years after the Hiroshima bomb's devastating impact.

VTV Features Voice Gems
Voice Gems was recently featured on VTV3, Vietnam’s national TV channel. The mini-documentary revealed fresh footage and highlighted our latest progress. It was my first time speaking about the project in my native language, and having Harry here in Vietnam made it even more special. While this is an international collaboration, we are passionate about using art and creative technology to give voice to bring focus and celebrate voice of the unheard from diverse cultures. Bringing this project to Vietnam feels like a natural evolution, and I’m looking forward to sharing more updates with you soon.

TIME100 Most Influential People in AI
It was an honor for me to collaborate once again with my long-term partner, Reeps100, and contribute to the art direction for the opening performance of TIME 100's most influential people in AI, hosted at the Museum of the Future in Dubai. Together, we premiered a new piece that combined human and machine voices, representing one of our many visual systems. In this performance, Reeps100 engaged in a duet and friendly competition with an AI opponent at 190BPM, showcasing the dynamic interplay between human creativity and artificial intelligence.

R100 x Fox House artist residency
My colleague, Karolina Olech (Chiwawa), and I had the privilege of participating in an art residency program in Spain called the R100 x Fox House. This residency was dedicated to the concept of permission, offering us a unique opportunity to fully immerse ourselves in the present moment. Within this nurturing environment, we found the freedom to embrace our authentic selves, free from the usual demands of daily life. Despite the inherent challenge of staying present amidst life's complexities, the tranquil atmosphere of the residency provided us with the space and encouragement to explore the intersection of art, philosophy, technology, and, above all, the collective journey of creative pursuit. Our interactions with fellow artists and thinkers were profoundly enriching, and we are deeply grateful to everyone involved for making this experience so memorable.

Through the 'Ô' exhibition, in partnership with L’Officiel, Trung Bao and Reeps100 will showcase an audio-visual rendition of Voice Gems, with dimensions of 8000x2000 pixels. Despite the complexity of producing such a work, we believe in harnessing technology and artistic expression to amplify human voices, fostering self-confidence and self-love exploration among viewers.

Myself @tbaocreate and @reepsone came together in Hanoi to showcase and test our latest @voicegems innovations and concept in partnership with @84noise - We have an expansive catalogue of voices, and now a real-time voice gems performance and interactive system. I can safely say myself and Trung Bao are being very careful and patient, but we will continue to push ourself and the boundaries of voice and art. We have huge plans, and many wonderful minds have been a part of the journey so far.

The sculptures can be generated from a curated set of global voices addressing a specific theme, or voice data sourced by a geolocation or local radius. Voice Gems will always be a project for large scale physical exhibition, using any means necessary to explore, preserve and illuminate the human voice.

Last year we began a journey looking to turn laughter between lovers in to a physical artwork created from 3D printed silver. The journey ended with a dear friend @_elfin_ polishing the piece and complete the very first prototype.
The human voice can be held, loved, and respected. A new digital-physical ceremony.

The beautiful voices and stories of Hmong people in Hà Giang, Vietnam are inspiring. I'm happy to have become friends and had this experience with them, especially my friend Ly Mí Cường (Cáy) and his welcoming family. I hope to share more of their stories one day. Hà Giang is also home to some amazing soundscapes. ⛰️☁️☀️🌳

VOICE GEMS ‘Astropoeticon’ with Herbert W. Franke
Herbert W. Franke first encountered Harry Yeff’s work in Linz in the summer of 2021. Both were part of the exhibition PROOF OF ART at the Francisco Carolinum in Linz, the first museum to tell the brief history of NFTs. Franke, who was also a caver and rock collector, became interested in Harry Yeff and Trung Bao's work, VOICE GEMS, and soon a collaboration emerged: Yeff asked about the potential of using Franke's voice in an audio-visual production, and Franke responded by sending one of his voice gems, which is a vocal work of art in itself.

“This year I received a call that Sir Geoff Hurst wanted the @voicegems project to preserve his memory of the day he scored a hat trick for England, Winning the 1966 World Cup. This is a part of Geoff's efforts to raise awareness of Alzheimer's and the crippling consequences of this terrible disease. After a call with Above+Beyond and the amazing energy of Dominic Goldman myself and @tbaocreate agreed to explore what in some ways, is a voice-generated digital national treasure.”

I directed and designed this large scale visual installation for the haunting chorus in ‘Falling’ by @takubeats , created with @fustic.studio @haidoanhai @vietnam_nabe in collaboration with @prettysoon_ @allcapsyeah .
We explored the world of real-time visual and facial motion capture technology using @unrealengine & MetaHumans to create this audio-visual experience.

Dear friends, we are proud to present the Ai Weiwei Voice Gem
The Ai WeiWei #1040 VOICE GEM was generated as a gift for Ai WeiWei by Alfred Weidinger the managing director of OÖ Landes-Kultur. The precious digital object was generated using the VOICE GEMS system from a voice recording of Ai WeiWei in conversation with a friend and collaborator.
The colours and form of the gem are generated directly from the voice of Ai WeiWei using the bespoke VOICE GEMS generative system and his gifted voice. The voice gems system allows us to archive and preserve precious vocal human interactions and connections using emerging technologies.
